Life is tough in the world as it is right now. Yes, in this 'The Anxiety Society' there is lots going on and you could be overwhelmed with negative thoughts that you may not even be aware of that flood your system with adrenaline leading to a 'fight or flight' response. Your own experience could be easier, if only you could be free of this tense stress and overwhelm: you can, when you Stop Anxiety with Hypnotherapy.
Don't tell me my Anxiety will get better, it hurts so much
Understanding Anxiety and Hypnotherapy
Fast and furious, with more and more demands made of us day by day, no wonder today’s society can warrant the widespread uprising of anxiety. It is my experience in successfully using Anxiety Management Hypnotherapy for treating hundreds of people suffering with anxiety, that it is the thoughtful, thinking, kinder folks that suffer most; perhaps overthinking rather than experiencing.
As I am not there sitting right in front of you to help you in person, here I offer all I can to help you right now. I have put years into gathering the most effective techniques together, which hundreds of people have tested out for you and I’ve written them down for you to do for yourself. Better still, do this technique to help someone you love AND get them to do them for you.
What Is Anxiety Management Hypnotherapy?
Anxiety management hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation and focused attention to help you access your subconscious mind. Hypnosis is focus and when you are anxious you are out of focus and unclear in your thoughts and perception of what is really happening.
Reality 'out there' and feeling trapped inside Anxiety
You cannot experience two opposing 'states' at the same time. A state is what we use to define how you are: what are you perceiving and how that makes you feel, how all of your systems support that, like how fast and powerfully your heart beats and how much you sweat, yes sweat!
When an undesired state seems to come out of nowhere and takes over our system, we can feel powerless to make ourselves feel calmer. Now, that is because you may be physically present in the here and now but really your mind has involuntarily returned to a past memory and ignited a state of fear. Realising that, right here, right now, will help you if and when it happens again. Just KNOWING that we are not being fully present and we have unconsciously returned to a past unresourceful state and that the past is over and has no control over me can be all it takes to reframe and rewire an experience. Move around, drink water, go to the bathroom, rather than stand and freeze are good tips when anxiety strikes.
Being Out of Control: Anxiety Loop
You may be completely unaware of the frantic processing that your brain and body are doing in that moment and you could be just consciously wondering why your heart is racing, your speech is slurring or your palms are sweaty.
In that realisation of the state of anxiety within you, you then become aware of how you appear to others and perhaps you don't want them to know how you are feeling and try to cover it up, saying 'I'm fine, I am FINE', when others know you are not. This perpetuates the elevated state of anxiety as you finding yourself saying things that are not true.
How Anxiety Responds to Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy, done well, creates a deeply relaxed state where your mind becomes more open to positive suggestions and new ways of thinking. This can help reduce the intensity of anxious thoughts and feelings.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, hypnotherapy works by bypassing the critical conscious mind and speaking directly to the unconscious. This allows you to uncover the root causes of anxiety and reframe your responses to stress. However, with Hypnotherapy to manage anxiety, you don't even need to consciously know the root causes: you just want it gone and that is what we do for you.
Here’s what typically happens in a session:
You sit or lie down comfortably in a quiet space.
The hypnotherapist guides you into a deeply relaxed state.
You receive calming suggestions tailored to your anxiety triggers.
You learn inner level, unconscious techniques to manage anxiety on your own between sessions.
This process helps you build new states of being that promote calmness and confidence, in any situation.

How Anxiety Management Hypnotherapy Helps You Feel Better
One of the best things about anxiety management hypnotherapy is that it works with your mind’s natural healing power. You achieve a 'hypnotic state' inbetween sleeping and waking where you can calmly readdress situations that used to, or will, cause the anxiety.
Your unconscious mind is always standing by, ready to help you. It just so happens that all this adrenaline is not helping you at all, so we ask the mind to tone down the levels of stress producing hormones to a more manageable level, though keeping a little excitement for you.
When you’re in a hypnotic state, your brain waves slow down, similar to deep meditation. This state allows you to:
Reduce stress hormones: Hypnosis can lower cortisol levels, which are often elevated during anxiety.
Change negative thought patterns: You can replace any phrase that you may be aware of in your own thinking patterns to a more positive one, such as, “I can’t handle this” with “I am calm and capable.”
Improve sleep quality: Many people find their sleep improves after hypnotherapy, which is crucial for anxiety relief.
Boost self-confidence: Hypnotherapy helps you feel more in control and less overwhelmed.
For example, if you have social anxiety, hypnotherapy can help you create and future plan positive social interactions and reduce the fear that holds you back. These new mental images, thoughts, feelings and perceptions of life experience become your new reality.

What to Expect During Your Hypnotherapy Sessions
Starting hypnotherapy might feel a little strange, but it’s actually a very natural and relaxing experience. We just put you back in touch with your own ability to be calm. Here is what you can expect:
NLP Discussion: You’ll talk about your anxiety, your goals, and any concerns. This helps the hypnotherapist tailor the sessions to you. Neurolinguistic Programming tools are used to talk with your own particular neurology and help you understanding your reactions.
Guided Relaxation: You’ll be guided into a calm, focused state. You’re always in control and can come 'out' of hypnosis anytime.
Positive Suggestions: The hypnotherapist will offer suggestions that help you feel safe, calm, and confident.
Homework and Practice: You might be given simple exercises or recordings to practice at home.
Sessions usually last about an hour. Many people notice improvements after just the first session, leading to long term improvement depending on individual needs.

Practical Tips to Maximize Your Anxiety Relief
Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool, and combining it with everyday habits can boost your results. Here are some practical tips:
Practice deep breathing: Recognise your breath lets you know how you feel! When 'too fast and high' use slow, deep breaths to calm your nervous system anytime you feel anxious.
DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT! Break the playback loop by acting out of character, taking a sip of water, by removing yourself from the environment, by engaging with your nervous system such as watching cold water cascade over your hands in the bathroom sink. Even taking your shoes off and actually feeling the ground beneath you, is a way of telling yourself you are in the here and now and any past events are over.
Keep a journal: Write down your thoughts and feelings to track your progress and triggers.
Create a calming routine: Set aside time each day for relaxation, whether it’s meditation, reading, or a warm bath.
Stay active: Exercise releases endorphins, which naturally reduce anxiety.
Limit caffeine and sugar: These can increase anxiety symptoms.
Use hypnotherapy recordings: Listening to guided hypnosis at home can reinforce what you learn in sessions.
