Introduction and Advice: Can Hypnotherapy Give me Confidence?
You may have reached a point in life where you hear people telling you to move on, to make the most of life. You may be depleted, frozen in inaction, no longer wanting to participate in the world. They may say 'the point of power is in the present moment', and maybe you silently question, 'Where, exactly?
You may have heard the advice to recognise the reflections in each moment, knowing always there IS order in the world and you can recognise perfection where it exists. Let's begin.
Ours is not to Reason Why
Asking 'Why', particularly about situations in the past can only really serve to engage our creative power in things and people that are unfathomable. Asking why terrible things happen well outside of our own personal sphere only create despair at situations beyond our control.
Confidence occurs naturally within us and grows as we test out reality and find out what works well for us. How can we restore and grow any confidence in something we cannot influence and are not participating in?
Ours is not to reason why and all things exist within you, around you and beyond you to serve some sort of purpose. In today’s world you may have injustices in far off lands or in another person’s experience thrust upon you for you to give your opinion, for you to agree and moan and join the despair of another’s predicament. You may indeed get drawn back into patterns of your own particular past to question where 'it all went wrong'.
You may sometimes despair at how another person or people have treated you and get wound up and ground down by past events and punishments that are outstaying their usefulness.
Everything is for a reason and you have your own things of the present moment to cope with. It is not your place to fix the entire world or right the wrongs of the past or to question the authority or existence of higher forces and motives. Answers to these questions are in the domain of the Higher Self and the organic brain is just not equipped to answer.
Whilst not condoning the tragedies of human conflict and desperate struggles, you recognise deep within yourself there is learning for all to be had in vast and disparate ways.
This present moment awareness exercise returns you to the ‘now’ and reconnects you energetically to what you came here to do.
The Perfection Reflection of An Imperfect World
There is no doubt that the world is constantly in a state of flux. It is constantly changing from one state to another, just as the winter melts away to spring and youth gives way to age. As good as we feel now, our state may suddenly change and we may feel recrimination, anger or despair. Of course the opposite is also true; you do not yet know how good you are going to feel very soon.
There is no doubt that there are challenges ahead, as there have been in the past, which encourage us all to expand and develop our creativity and awareness of improvements to be made.
Whilst imperfections abound in the world in which we live, there is perfection and order in the chaos though it takes recognition, focus and gentle and firm reminders of this to return us to understanding and peace of mind.
This Too Shall Pass
You can focus your attention on a more pleasing thought and feeling ANYTIME. It just takes a willingness to put some things in place first. Even if you do not do this, you know that in time all things pass. This technique eases the passing and pulls more positive experiences towards you.
You ALWAYS get more of what you focus upon in life and sensing the injustices and atrocities in the world that often we can do nothing about can enrage or upset and sadden us deeply.
Spiritual acquaintances will tell you that every time we pay attention to something we energise its presence within us, so we need to strengthen all things positive.
YOU CAN ALLOW YOUR FOCUS TO SWITCH TO SOMETHING MORE PLEASANT. ANYTIME.
The Perfection Reflection Technique
Your duty to yourself is to learn to seek out true confidence in the reality you find yourself in. Sensing what is real for you; what is tangeable, within your reach, your power, your control to affect, will connect with that true sense of confidence.
Being effective in the world is part of confidence. Sensing change arise out of the fact that you are present is important.
What you want: Reclaiming Perfection with Hypnotherapy for Confidence
You were born with a natural, easy, automatic confidence. You knew you would develop and walk like everyone else. You just KNEW. It is part of your natural programming as a human being. It was lost, taken, stolen, given, whatever and however it corrupted, let us get your confidence back right here and right now. That means confidence in your self; your Mental Self, your Emotional Self, your Physical Self and your Spiritual Self. Let's go.
When to use this technique
This is to be used when you call upon yourself to restore your own confidence. This will come as a feeling of a lack of confidence and this is exactly when to use this process of hypnotherapy for confidence.
The Perfection Reflection Method
As you awoke this morning, what was it that you we expecting from this day?
You may wake with hopes of all kinds of things, but are they your true expectations or what you think would be a day of perfection? How did YOU feature in this day ahead?
If your world were ‘fixed’ how would it be? Disappointment is sure to follow when you are expecting from others the strict integrity, perfection and truthfulness you demand from yourself. You may fill your mind with what perfection is and what you expect of others, though here is an exercise to soften that expectation a little and enhance your acceptance of imperfection. Hold tight, this may be a bumpy ride.
Firstly, go get a mirror!
STAGE ONE
Position a Mirror where you will see it first thing in the morning. Bathrooms are good. Whilst you CAN do this at other times, after sleeping is best as you argue with yourself less!
When you wake, as soon as possible afterwards, look into the mirror. Make sure you are alone.
Look deeply into your own eyes and recognise what thoughts you have. Maybe there are criticisms of how you look and you have already smoothed your hair or splashed water on your face. Be still and just look.
Be easy with yourself and relax your face and take it from that ‘prepared’ state where we wear an expression to invite our scrutiny, to a completely and utterly relaxed state. It is just YOU looking at you. These are your own judgments.
Look carefully at your face and relax. Are you relaxing? Inspect every pore, every line, every mole, every difference in skin colouration, every tiny scar; just look.
Think about the face of a person you love and imagine how they may regard THEIR face in the mirror too. Now think about how you love THEM.
Do whatever you can to quiet your condemnations of your face and begin to accept that life has etched your feelings and experiences into your face. Now think of how someone who loves you sees your face. Look through their eyes at you.
Realise that throughout the day, you will see your own face. Make a resolve right now that you will allow yourself to see yourself as you truly are and accept whatever is there.
This sounds simple though is hugely impactful and takes practise.
STAGE TWO
Remember There is perfection in what can be regarded as imperfection. Everything is really as it should be for the learnings and experience of all.
Be accepting of your face and accepting of the 'flaws' that exist in and around you, soften your objection and seek to admire. You have heard that 'Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder'? Time to be kind. Be kinder to yourself, today.
Behold, here is your world. Be and hold your world lovingly. YOU are part of that world.
Make it your mission, if only for today, to seek perfection in all things.
